You Matter - Oceans

The biggest lie from the devil is that we don't matter. In a large sea of people, billions of people on this planet, it can be tempting to believe that lie. When looking at all the waves of the sea, the billions of people in the world, one may listen to the devil's lies: "What is one less ripple in the ocean? One less person in a world of billions of people?...Would the world end and stop turning if I weren't here? People might be sad but they would eventually get over it, move on." LIES! Lies from the very pit of hell! We are all like ripples in an ocean. There are countless numbers in the sea, but each one matters, has value, serves its purpose, was created for a purpose. Each ripple in the ocean has its function in a wave, each wave its function in the ocean's movements.

"I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are your works..." Psalms 139:14

"You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb." Psalms 139:13

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:" John 1: 12

"The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. And if children then heirs - heirs of God and joint heirs in Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him that we may also be glorified in Him." Romans 8: 16-17

"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." 1 John 4:4

Oh my goodness could I list so very many scriptures that communicate:

  1. You are loved, beloved by God.

  2. He loved you even before you were born. He "knit you in your mother's womb". He loves you in spite of any mistakes you have made.

  3. Christ died so we may be forgiven of our sins and be sons and daughters of God, cleansed of all sin. In the old testament was the old covenant between God and man. Lambs were sacrificed in the atonement of sins. In the new testament of the Bible is the new covenant or new promise between God and man. Jesus is the lamb that was slain for us.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." Ephesians 1:7

We are all ripples in an ocean. Enough ripples come together and form a wave. Everything you do however small or seemingly insignificant matters. This can be seen in the example of a small action such as the route you choose to drive home. For example, a delay during your route causes you to avoid being in a severe collision. Another example: You stop to get a coffee on your drive to work, have a seizure or other medical emergency, and a nurse just happens to be in the line behind you. Or perhaps you are that nurse. We are all ripples in an ocean and everything we do matters. Who we are matters. YOU MATTER.

You are uniquely (and "wonderfully') made and loved.
